Driver

Join our dynamic team at DIESEL-ELECTRIC (CAPE)(RF) (PTY) LTD, a leading automotive wholesaler committed to providing exceptional service to our valued customers. We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable individual to fill the role of Driver at our George Branch. As a Driver, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficient operations of our warehouse by accurately collecting and delivering automotive products.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Select items from stock based on order specifications and carefully pack them for shipment.
• Inspect products for quality standards and report any discrepancies promptly.
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and ensure proper storage of goods.
• Work closely with the warehouse team to achieve collective goals and meet customer demands.
• Generate vehicle maintenance reports and ensure the cleanliness and representability of the vehicle.
• Arrive at customers promptly.
• Perform additional ad-hoc duties as requested by the Branch Manager.

Minimum requirements:

• Matric
• Must speak english and afrikaans
• Must have a valid South African code 8/10 driver’s licence.
• Knowledge of the George suburbs and surrounding areas.
• Demonstrated willingness to collaborate and assist colleagues, including suppliers, transporters, sales staff, managers, and procurement teams.
• Possess physical fitness for tasks that involve standing for extended periods and lifting heavy objects.
• Exhibit a high level of attention to detail, ensuring precision in tasks such as picking and packing.
• Ability to work well independently, showing initiative and self-motivation.
• Focus on identifying and solving challenges efficiently to contribute to a seamless workflow.
• Strong communication skills to interact positively with diverse individuals and teams.
• Consistent ability to follow instructions and apply common sense in daily tasks.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new processes and responsibilities.
• Must be able to count and demonstrate strong numerical abilities.
