Location: Cape Town CBD

Bar Keeper is looking for a reliable, customer-focused Driver / General Worker to join our team.

This is a split role. Approximately 50% of your time will be spent doing deliveries, with the remaining time assisting in-store with general warehouse and retail duties.

Key Responsibilities

Deliveries

• Safely complete customer deliveries, primarily within the Cape Town CBD and surrounding areas.
• Load and unload stock.
• Plan efficient routes using GPS/navigation apps.
• Provide friendly, professional service to customers during deliveries.
• Ensure deliveries are completed accurately and on time.

In-Store Duties

• Pack away incoming stock.
• Assist with stock takes and inventory counts.
• Help keep the store and warehouse clean, organised and well presented.
• Assist customers in-store with purchases and enquiries.
• Support the team wherever required.

Requirements

• Valid South African Code 8 driver's licence (essential).
• Confident driving in Cape Town CBD traffic.
• Comfortable using GPS/navigation apps.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Honest, reliable and punctual.
• Able to lift and move stock safely.
• Diligent, hardworking and willing to assist with all aspects of the business.
• Previous retail, warehouse or delivery experience will be advantageous.

Working Hours

This is a retail position, so applicants must be able to work retail hours.

The position operates on a two-week rotating schedule:

Week 1

• Monday to Saturday: 08:30 – 18:00
• Off Sunday and Monday

Week 2

• Monday to Saturday: 10:00 – 20:00
• Sunday: 11:00 – 18:00
• One weekday off (Tuesday or Wednesday, depending on the roster)

Own transport to and from work is highly advantageous due to the varying shift times.
