Driver Instructor

The purpose of the Driving Instructor role is to develop, train, and assess drivers to ensure safe, compliant and efficient transport operations within Transrite. The Driving Instructor is responsible for planning and facilitating both classroom-based and practical on-the-job training programmes that equip drivers with the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required to meet operational, safety, and legislative requirements.

The role contributes to the continuous improvement of driver performance through coaching, mentoring, performance assessments, and constructive feedback. The Driving Instructor further supports driver development initiatives by assisting with learnership recruitment, providing input into the development of training material and promoting a culture of road safety and operational excellence. Working closely with management and operational teams, the role ensures that training interventions align with business objectives, improve driver competence, and support the delivery of safe, reliable and efficient transport services.
