Job Advert Summary

We are looking for drivers within our Logistics department in Midrand (Jhb).

The purpose of this role is to ensure effective and efficient operations of the company’s trucks to deliver complete allocated product loads to customers on time. The role also includes to act proactively in providing exceptional customer service through deliveries right up to the customer receiving the desired products.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12
• Valid Code 10 driver’s licence with PRDP (Code 14 driver’s licence is advantageous).
• Good communication and numerical skills.
• Ability to build good customer relationships.
• Cooperative, proactive and always willing to assist.
• Disciplined and time conscious.
• Must be reliable, responsible and of sober habits.
• Ability to communicate in English and Afrikaans.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate product and delivery records.
• Punctual work attendance is a critical requirement.
• Safe driving record and clean criminal record.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Adhere closely to daily load plans.
• Load, transport and offload vehicles.
• Maintain accurate product deliveries and liaise with customers.
• Ensure proof of deliveries are signed and returned.
• Prepare the vehicle for trips and operate ultra heavy-duty vehicles.
• Always adhere to the green band driving.
• Housekeeping of vehicles and ensure that the vehicle is hygienically clean.
• Constantly monitor the vehicle including the temperature and communicate preventative maintenance requirements.
• Health & safety - ensure the safe and legal operation of the vehicle.
• Work in the QC department when there are no deliveries.
