Job Purpose The Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of company goods, ensuring timely deliveries and collections while maintaining compliance with road safety regulations, company standards, food safety requirements, and quality management systems

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect products safely and on time according to scheduled routes.
• Provide professional service to internal and external customers.
• Monitor and safeguard stock during deliveries and collections.
• Accurately complete and manage delivery documentation, including POs, dispatch notes, SCTs, invoices, and vehicle logbooks in accordance.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and ensure the truck is roadworthy and clean.
• Comply with all road traffic laws, company policies, and transport regulations.
• Report vehicle issues, delivery delays, incidents, and food safety concerns promptly. Assist with loading and offloading activities when required
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, food safety, and quality in line with FSSC 22000 requirements.
• Support the company's food safety and quality objectives while working under varying operational conditions.
• Maintain punctuality to ensure timeous deliveries and report delays in time.

Experience And Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Valid Code 14 Drivers Licence with a valid PDP /PrDP.
• Sound literacy and numeracy skills.
• Proven experience driving heavy-load trucks.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Commitment to health, safety, quality, and food safety standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills and Competencies

• Knowledge of road traffic regulations and vehicle compliance requirements.
• Strong time management and route planning skills.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
