Driver/Assistant Storeman

Introduction:

GMSL Group located outside Durbanville is looking for a Driver/Assistant storeman to join our team.

We are a manufacturing/engineering company that specialize in the fuelling industry.

GMSL Group (Pty) Ltd started in 2018, based on a need in the fuel industry for a single turn-key solution to operational and asset – procurement, maintenance and training.

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and proactive Driver / Assistant storeman to join our team. This role supports the supervisor in the day-to-day running of the storeroom and main function as driving duties, ensuring materials and equipment are safely transported, stored, and maintained to company standards.

Key Responsibilities

· Conduct daily vehicle checks and ensure vehicles are clean and roadworthy

· Safely collect, transport, and deliver materials, tools, and equipment

· Assist with loading and offloading vehicles using safe handling practices

· Maintain an organised, tidy storeroom with clearly labelled items

· Prepare stock for jobs

· Perform daily cycle counts and assist with monthly stock takes

· Receive, unload, and correctly place goods in designated locations

· Enforce access control and safeguard tools, equipment, and stock

· Report hazards, damages, or incidents immediately to the supervisor

· Support general ad hoc tasks as required

Requirements

· Minimum of 1-year relevant experience in stores or driving

· Valid driver’s license

· Basic Administrative skills

· Ability to operate forklift/crane (advantageous)

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards

· Reliable, responsible, punctual, and able to work under supervision
