Job description

Scope: The Driver, is responsible for transporting packages from the warehouse location to the scheduled customer address. Some of the duties will include loading parcels into their vehicle, using a navigation system to map their route and delivering parcels to the correct addresses in a timely manner.

Qualifications and work experience

Grade 12
Driving/delivery experience of a minimum of 2 years
Valid driver’s license code 10 and PDP

Roles and Responsibilities

Check and assist to load orders in the vehicle every day.
Validate invoices against loaded stock.
Take responsibility of goods loaded and offloaded from the vehicle
Check vehicle daily and complete checklist when driver not available
Abide by rules of the road
Collect COD monies where necessary when driver not available
Liaise with customer appropriately to ensure customer satisfaction
Collect returned stock as necessary from customers
Housekeeping of vehicle to keep it presentable in the eyes of a customer
