Job description
Key Responsibilities include:
- Supervise and support drivers to ensure safe and efficient delivery operations.
- Coach, train, and assess driver competence on loading, offloading, operational procedures, and customer site requirements.
- Conduct weekly toolbox talks and facilitate ongoing driver development initiatives.
- Monitor driver compliance with company procedures, HSSE standards and customer requirements.
- Investigate non-conformances, implement corrective actions, and coordinate disciplinary processes where required.
- Coordinate drivers shift handovers and assist with tanker loading when operationally required.
- Ensure vehicle document packs, safety equipment and operational consumables remain fully stocked and compliant.
- Conduct regular driver and fleet readiness audits.
- Provide after-hours operational support during driver-related incidents and escalations.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12).
- 3–5 years' experience supervising drivers within a fleet, logistics or transport environment.
- Practical knowledge of loading/offloading procedures and transport documentation.
- Valid driver's licence (PrDP will be advantageous).
- Experience within the petroleum, fuel or dangerous goods industry will be advantageous.
