Kia K2700 Driver / General Worker

Reports To

Operations Manager / Site Supervisor

Purpose of the Position

The Kia K2700 Driver / General Worker is responsible for the safe operation and daily care of the company vehicle while assisting with property maintenance and landscaping projects. The employee is expected to transport staff, tools, equipment, and materials safely and to actively participate in all site work.

Key ResponsibilitiesDriving Duties

• Safely operate the Kia K2700 in accordance with all road traffic laws.
• Transport staff, equipment, and materials to and from job sites.
• Load and unload materials safely without damaging company property.
• Plan routes to ensure timely arrival at job sites.
• Complete deliveries and collections as instructed.
• Keep the vehicle clean inside and out at all times.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections, including checking:
• Oil level
• Coolant
• Tyre pressure and condition
• Lights and indicators
• Brakes
• Windscreen washer fluid
• Report any vehicle faults, accidents, or damage immediately.
• Maintain accurate mileage and fuel records where required.
• Ensure the vehicle is locked and secured when unattended.

General Work Duties

• Assist with all property maintenance, landscaping, and construction activities.
• Load, unload, and handle tools, equipment, and materials.
• Assist with paving, painting, waterproofing, tree work, landscaping, roofing, renovations, and general labour.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area.
• Follow instructions from the Site Supervisor at all times.
• Assist with site setup and final clean-up after each project.
• Ensure tools are cleaned, stored, and accounted for daily.

Health & Safety

• Wear all required PPE while on duty.
• Follow all company health and safety procedures.
• Operate machinery and equipment only if trained and authorised.
• Report unsafe conditions immediately.
• Protect company equipment from damage or theft.

Employee Requirements

• Valid South African driver's licence (Code B or higher).
• Good driving record.
• Physically fit and capable of manual labour.
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
• Able to work overtime when required.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Report to work on time every working day.

• Immediately report any accidents, incidents, or customer complaints.

Failure to comply with company policies, road traffic regulations, or safety procedures may result in disciplinary action.

Pay: R8 000,00 - R10 000,00 per month
