Duty Manager

Career Growth Hospitality Recruitment is looking for an experienced Duty Manager to join a prestigious luxury hospitality property in Cape Town.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day hotel operations and ensure smooth service delivery across all departments.
• Deliver exceptional guest experiences by handling enquiries, requests, and complaints professionally.
• Lead, motivate, and support operational teams while maintaining high service standards.
• Assist with guest check-in and check-out procedures using OPERA Cloud.
• Manage guest accounts and ensure accurate cash handling.
• Coordinate effectively with Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and other departments.
• Assist with restaurant bookings, reservations, and switchboard operations.
• Monitor guest feedback and implement service improvements where required.
• Ensure operational procedures and luxury hospitality standards are consistently maintained.

Requirements

• Post-matric hospitality qualification.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a luxury five-star hotel or similar environment.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong working knowledge of OPERA Cloud.
• Excellent communication and guest service skills.
• Confident leader with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Professional, organised, and able to perform well under pressure.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Own transport will be advantageous.
