E-commerce Manager | Outdoor Warehouse

Full job description

Outdoor Warehouse is looking for a detail-oriented, technically minded E-commerce Manager to take ownership of our website and e-commerce platform.

Reporting directly to the Marketing Manager, you'll be responsible for managing our website, ensuring it's always up to date, optimised and delivering an exceptional online shopping experience. From product launches and promotional updates to website maintenance and performance monitoring, you'll play a key role in keeping our digital storefront running smoothly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

CMS & Site Management:

  • Daily CMS Maintenance: Manage the day-to-day operations of the website CMS, ensuring all content, banners, and promotions are accurate, up-to-date, and visually aligned with brand guidelines.
  • Product Data & Uploads: Take full ownership of the product lifecycle online, including uploading new products, writing/formatting descriptions, managing categories, and ensuring accurate pricing and inventory levels.
  • Site Optimization: Conduct regular site walks to identify and fix broken links, formatting issues, or display errors, ensuring a seamless mobile-first user experience.

E-commerce Support & Execution:

  • Platform Assistance: Support the Group E-commerce Manager with testing new platform features, updates, and bug fixes during development sprints.
  • Stock & ERP Coordination: Assist in monitoring the integration between the ERP system and the e-commerce platform to ensure smooth data flow regarding stock levels and order processing.
  • Studio Collaboration: Work closely with the content and studio teams to gather product imagery and assets required for weekly updates and launches.

Paid Media & Digital Marketing Coordination:

  • Campaign Implementation: Execute on-site promotional setups, voucher creation, and landing page builds to support broader digital marketing campaigns (SEO, email, and paid media).
  • Paid Media: Take ownership of the day-to-day coordination of paid media campaigns across Google Ads, Meta Ads and other digital advertising platforms.
  • Content Alignment: Ensure the digital storefront reflects current marketing drives, seasonal changes, and merchandise priorities.

Data & Reporting:

  • Performance Tracking: Assist the Group E-commerce Manager by pulling routine data and reports from Google Analytics and Business Intelligence tools.
  • Insight Gathering: Monitor basic site metrics (traffic, bounce rates, top-performing products) to help identify areas for content improvement.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in a digital retail or e-commerce coordinator role.
  • CMS Expertise: Proven, hands-on experience managing e-commerce Content Management Systems (e.g., Magento/Adobe Commerce, Shopify Plus, WooCommerce, or similar enterprise platforms).
  • Data Literacy: Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for handling large volumes of product data, imports, and bulk uploads.
  • Technical Familiarity: Basic understanding of how ERP systems integrate with e-commerce platforms is highly advantageous.
  • Analytical Tools: Exposure to Google Analytics or basic Business Intelligence reporting tools.
  • Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a passion for the technical/operational side of e-commerce.
