Job description

We are seeking a reliable, professional, and safety-conscious Driver to join our e-hailing platform at ZARides. As a driver with us, you will enjoy a flexible schedule, competitive earning potential, and the opportunity to provide exceptional transportation services across South Africa.

Position: E-Hailing Driver
Employment Type: Full-time / Part-time / Flexible
Location: South Africa (regional specific)
Compensation: Commission-based earnings with competitive payouts

Key responsibilities

Passenger Transport: Provide safe, punctual, and reliable transportation for passengers.
Navigation: Utilize the zaRides driver app to accept ride requests and navigate optimal routes.
Customer Service: Maintain a polite, professional, and helpful attitude toward all riders.
Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure your vehicle remains clean, presentable, and mechanically sound at all times.
Compliance: Adhere strictly to local traffic laws, speed limits, and platform safety regulations.

Requirements and qualifications

Valid License: Must possess a valid South African driving license with a PrDP (Professional Driving Permit).
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of active driving experience, preferably within e-hailing or passenger transport.
Smartphone: Own an Android or iOS smartphone with a reliable data connection to run the driver app.
Background Check: Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background check and criminal record clearance.
Language: Ability to communicate effectively in English (additional local languages are a plus).

Vehicle requirements (if using own vehicle)

Vehicle Age: Model year 2015 or newer.
Vehicle Type: 4-door sedan or hatchback in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition.
Documentation: Valid vehicle registration and roadworthy certificate.
