Join our NBL Head Office in Bryanston, Johannesburg as an E-Learning Administrator and play a key role in ensuring seamless learning experiences for employees through the management and support of the Moodle Learning Management System (LMS), provide support to both stakeholders and learners accessing the portal, turn data into insight and build meaningful relationships with stakeholders and employees alike.

Reporting Structure

  • Reports to: E-Learning Specialist
  • Direct Reports: None

Key Areas Of Impact Learning Management System (Moodle) Administration

  • Manage and maintain the Moodle LMS, including user administration, learner enrolments, access permissions, system support, performance monitoring, and the accuracy of course and learner data.

Learner & User Support

  • Provide first-line support to learners, trainers, managers, and employees, assisting with system access, navigation, and LMS-related queries.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, liaise with service providers where required, and maintain user support documentation and guides.

Course Administration & Content Management

  • Create, configure, and maintain courses, learning pathways, assessments, and certifications within Moodle.
  • Upload and manage e-learning content, ensuring courses are functional, accurate, and accessible across devices and browsers through regular quality assurance checks.
  • Apply instructional and visual design principles when developing or updating learning content.

Reporting & Learning Analytics

  • Generate, analyse, and distribute LMS reports to stakeholders, providing insights on learner participation, completion rates, assessment results, and compliance.
  • Extract and analyse learner data using Excel, identify trends, and provide recommendations to enhance learner engagement and programme effectiveness.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, gathering learning requirements and translating them into LMS solutions.
  • Provide updates on learner progress, system usage, and learning initiatives, while supporting learning and development projects across the business.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Drive continuous improvement of the LMS by implementing enhancements, supporting system upgrades, and applying emerging e-learning and digital learning best practices.

Skills Development Admin Support

  • Capturing of all training interventions for sites onto SAP T&E and ensuring all necessary supporting documentation is attached to events
  • Maintain folders with softcopies for all interventions on HRS Intranet
  • Following up with sites regarding documentation and issues regarding capturing
  • Manage L&D SAP T&E inbox

What It Takes To Succeed Experience that set you up for success:

  • Miminum 3 years’ Moodle LMS or a similar Learning Management System administration experience
  • Sound understanding of SCORM, online assessments and digital learning principals
  • Strong Excel skills for reporting, data analysis, and dashboard creation
  • Basic instructional and visual design skills, coupled with strong problem-solving.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications & Certifications That Will Contribute To Your Success

  • Minimum Matric, relevant Diploma or Degree advantageous
  • Relevant Learning Management System certification advantageous
