Purpose of the Role:
At Weylandts, we believe every product tells a story, one of craftsmanship, superior quality and timeless design. The Ecommerce Studio Lead plays a pivotal role in bringing that story to life online, ensuring that every image reflects the quality and aesthetic integrity of the Weylandts brand. This is a photography and studio leadership role, where you will be responsible for the end-to-end output, consistency, and excellence of the ecommerce studio. You will take ownership of the studio’s performance, leading a small team and creating a professional, efficient environment where beautiful, consistent, on-brand imagery is produced at pace.
Key Responsibilities:
Studio Leadership & Output
- Own and manage all ecommerce studio deliverables
- Lead and coordinate the studio team, working closely with the DC operations supervisor.
- Ensure efficient workflows, planning, and on-time delivery
Photography & Styling
- Shoot and style product pack shots
- Ensure consistency in lighting, composition, and styling across all imagery
- Work across both studio and occasionally in-store environments
Quality Control & Brand Alignment
- Maintain and uphold ecommerce visual standards across all assets
- Review and approve final images before publishing
- Ensure alignment with website guidelines and brand aesthetic
Operations & Administration
- Manage image library, tagging, and archiving in collaboration with Retoucher.
- Maintain studio equipment and environment
- Continuously improve processes for efficiency and consistency
Collaboration
- Report to the Ecommerce & Content Lead
- Work closely with Internal stakeholders to ensure output meets company standards overall
Required Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in product or ecommerce photography
- Experience leading or managing a small team
- Strong technical knowledge of studio lighting and photography equipment
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom
- Product styling ability and attention to detail
