Education Recruitment & Business Development Consultant
Location: Remote
Job Type: Part-Time, Contract
Contract Length: 3 months, renewable based on performance
Working Hours: Flexible, approximately 15–25 hours per week
Compensation: Performance-Based Earnings
Expected Earnings: R8,000 – R30,000+ per month

About the Role
We are looking for motivated and results-driven Education Recruitment & Business Development Consultants to support student recruitment and partnership development.
This is a fully remote role suitable for individuals who are confident in sales, communication, networking, and relationship building. The role requires strong personal motivation, discipline, and the ability to generate leads independently.
You will be responsible for identifying prospective students, explaining SBSL programmes, following up with applicants, and helping convert enquiries into successful enrolments. You may also support business development by identifying companies, HR departments, training providers, and education partners that can collaborate with SBSL.
This is a performance-based role. There is no guaranteed fixed salary. Earnings are based on successful student enrolments and business development results.
Key Responsibilities
Student Recruitment & Lead Generation
- Identify prospective students through LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Facebook, referrals, professional networks, and outreach campaigns.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective students.
- Contact working professionals, graduates, entrepreneurs, managers, and corporate employees.
- Generate interest in SBSL programmes and convert enquiries into applications.
- Follow up consistently with leads until they apply, enrol, or make a clear decision.
Student Engagement & Admissions Support
- Explain available programmes, including MBA, DBA, BBA, Professional Diploma, Certificate, and Executive Education options.
- Provide clear information about admission requirements, fees, study format, programme duration, and enrolment steps.
- Conduct online or phone consultations with prospective students.
- Guide applicants through the application and registration process.
- Support students with basic documentation and onboarding guidance.
- Maintain a professional and supportive relationship with prospective students.
Business Development & Partnerships
- Identify companies, HR departments, training providers, consultants, and education agents who may refer students or collaborate with SBSL.
- Build relationships with corporate and institutional contacts.
- Promote SBSL programmes to professional communities and organisations.
- Identify new markets and student recruitment channels.
- Share market feedback and recruitment opportunities with management.
Activity Tracking & Reporting
- Keep accurate records of leads, follow-ups, applications, and enrolments.
- Provide weekly updates on recruitment activities and pipeline progress.
- Track conversations, student interests, objections, and next steps.
- Maintain professional communication and disciplined follow-up.
Requirements
Must-Have Qualifications
- Experience in sales, student recruitment, admissions, business development, customer service, training, consulting, or related fields.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of motivation, discipline, and personal initiative.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Confidence in contacting new prospects and following up consistently.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Ability to use WhatsApp, email, LinkedIn, and online communication tools.
- Access to a laptop, stable internet connection, and mobile phone.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in higher education, professional training, executive education, or consulting.
- Existing network of professionals, students, HR contacts, companies, or training providers.
- Experience selling educational programmes, training courses, or professional services.
- Familiarity with CRM systems such as Zoho CRM, HubSpot, or similar platforms.
