Job description
Are you a driven closer who's passionate about connecting families with world-class education? Do you thrive on hitting — and exceeding — targets? bina is hiring on a short-term contract basis, and we want closers who can hit the ground running from day one.
This is a 1–4 month contract engagement with a path to extension — strong performers can move onto a 12-month, renewable contract. If you can ramp fast, own a pipeline immediately, and turn interest into enrollment without a long runway, this is your move.
We're looking for an Education Sales Specialist with a proven sales track record — ideally in education or ed-tech, but standout performers from B2C industries are absolutely welcome. You'll be an achievement-focused team player and empathetic communicator who knows how to guide families from first contact to enrollment. If impact energizes you and startup pace doesn't faze you, read on.
The engagement at a glance
- Type: Independent contractor
- Initial term: 40hrs/week for 1–4 months
- Extension: Possibility of extending to a 12-month contract based on performance
- Availability: Immediate / near-immediate start preferred
- Location: Fully remote, preferably in GMT -3 to GMT -8
About bina
bina is a globally distributed, fully synchronous digital school serving families in 50+ countries. We operate tiny classrooms of up to 12 students, led by exceptional teachers, and go far beyond academics — integrating social-emotional learning, cultural awareness, adventures, and real-world, biome-inspired curricula.
With Cambridge accreditation, ~87 NPS, and $2.9M cARR growing >20% QoQ, bina is positioned to reach 10k+ students in the next 4–5 years.
Our vision? To build the highest quality school to scale. We use researched, backed, and newly possible methodologies, to craft accessible play-based education to millions of students globally. We're re-imagining how school works.
What does bina's Education Sales Specialist do?
The core mission? Turn interest into enrollment — fast. On a short contract, your job is to plug into an existing pipeline, get productive within your first week, and start converting prospective families into committed bina students.
Responsibilities
- Engage and Convert: Be the first voice families hear — compelling, knowledgeable, and ready to turn curiosity into enrollment.
- Discover and Connect: Quickly identify what each family needs and position bina as the clear, obvious solution.
- Drive Enrollment: Own your pipeline from day one. Set targets, execute with urgency, and close enrollments while maintaining quality and alignment with bina's values.
- Ramp Fast: Get up to speed on our product, our families, and our tools quickly — we're optimizing for time-to-first-close, not a long onboarding.
- Build Relationships That Last: Keep families engaged well beyond their first inquiry — your network is your pipeline, even within a short window.
Accountabilities
- Own the full enrollment cycle from first inquiry to signed enrollment.
- Execute targeted outreach and follow-up strategies to maximize conversion rates.
- Keep CRM systems accurate and up to date with every prospect interaction.
- Partner with the marketing team to align campaigns with enrollment goals.
- Host webinars and discovery calls with prospective families.
- Collaborate with teaching and Learning Success teams as needed.
What should you bring to this role?
You are a closer who cares. Achievement-driven, naturally competitive (in a healthy way), and a relationship builder at heart. For this contract you'll also need to be someone who ramps quickly and works well with minimal hand-holding.
Educational Background
- Degree in Education, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Sales Experience
- Proven track record in sales, ideally in education, ed-tech, or B2C environments.
- Comfortable owning a pipeline quickly and producing results inside a short engagement.
- Familiarity with sales methodologies a plus (Sandler, Gap Selling, Challenger, SPIN, etc.).
Communication Skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills — you can read a room and adapt your pitch instantly.
- Confident articulating the value of complex educational offerings in simple, compelling terms.
- Excellent written and spoken English; additional languages are a bonus.
Organizational Skills
- Strong time management — you juggle multiple prospects without dropping the ball.
- Detail-oriented with accurate CRM documentation and reporting.
- You build workflows that keep your pipeline humming.
Technology Skills
- Proficient in CRM platforms and digital communication tools.
- Comfortable using tech to streamline and enhance the enrollment experience.
Cultural Fit
- You thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments and love the energy of a startup.
- You've worked with international families and appreciate cultural nuance.
- Adaptable, collaborative, and genuinely excited about making learning accessible and joyful.
What can you expect from us?
- $2,500 USD base pay + commission (no minimum quota to unlock, uncapped)
- A clear path to extension — top performers can convert to a 12-month contract.
- A front-row seat at a global education company with real growth potential.
- Fully remote — work from anywhere with great internet, a quiet space, and the right timezone.
- A diverse, passionate team on a mission to transform education worldwide.
