Job description

EFL/ESL Teacher (3-Month Fixed Contract)

Are you an experienced, qualified English Language teacher passionate about teaching English? We are seeking dedicated and experienced educators to complete a 3-month fixed-term contract teaching English as a foreign/second language to adult learners. Teaching will take place in-person in Parktown, Johannesburg.

Position Details

· Contract type: Fixed-Term Contract ( 3 months/12 weeks )

· Duration: September to November 2026 ( start and end dates to be confirmed )

· Workload: 20 – 25 teaching hours per week (on-site, face-to-face)

· Location: Parktown, Johannesburg

· Remuneration: hourly rate, payment via claim, on a monthly basis

· Pre-requisite: Availability for 2 mandatory training days prior to the contract start date

Key Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:

· Qualifications: Recognised TEFL qualification ( CELTA preferred )

· Experience: Minimum of 1 year teaching experience to adult learners

· Subject matter knowledge : Demonstrate a good knowledge of English language and an ability to clarify grammar well
