Job description
· To render services and meet the needs of the resident in the Care Facility for older persons while helping them to maintain a high quality of life and to prolong and enhance their independence.
· Uphold the Rights of the older person and prevent abuse of older persons
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
· All duties to be performed with respect and dignity towards residents, their family and co workers
· Perform all duties as allocated by SR / SN or shift leader in charge
· Check the condition of the resident and record in nursing notes
· Check work schedule and Assist residents with:
o Personal care including dressing and mobility,
o Eating
o Mouthcare
· Serve meals and assist residents with their meals.
· Do mouthcare after every meal
· Take residents to toilet after meals
· Assist resident with ambulation and mobility around the facility (Moving and walking) including safe transfer from bed to chair and back
· Help resident with exercises (Active and passive)
· Do educational and recreational activities with residents as per daily activity program
· Report any changes in conditions of resident to the Sister, / Staff nurse in charge
· Ensure resident safety and well-being.
· Ensure a clean environment for resident.
