Job description
Are you the person everyone calls when production equipment stops working?
We're looking for an experienced, hands-on Electrical & Instrumentation Technician who enjoys the challenge of keeping a busy manufacturing plant running.
Our client operates in a demanding production environment where equipment reliability, quick problem-solving and preventative maintenance are critical to success.
We need someone who is equally comfortable working on electrical systems and instrumentation equipment — someone who can identify the problem, find the solution and get production back on track.
What you'll need
- N5 or National Diploma in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent).
- A recognised Electrician Trade Test (preferred) or Instrumentation Mechanician Trade Test.
- At least 5 years' experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment .
- Strong electrical and instrumentation fault-finding capabilities.
- Familiarity with SANS standards and relevant electrical regulations.
Who will do well in this role?
Someone who enjoys being on the plant floor, takes pride in solving technical problems and understands that reliable equipment is essential to production.
This is a technical, hands-on position rather than a people-management role. You'll work closely with operations, engineering colleagues and external specialists.
Great opportunity to join a progressive organisation and grow your career
