About the Role

Metso is looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Technician specialising in PF Filter systems to join our LCS Services team.

This is a site-based role where you will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation, maintenance, and optimisation of PF filter equipment at a key customer site.

Key Responsibilities

Perform installation, commissioning, and start-up of PF filter equipment

Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance

Diagnose and resolve electrical, instrumentation, and control system issues

Conduct inspections and provide technical reports and recommendations

Support customers with training and technical assistance

Ensure compliance with site and Metso safety standards

Plan and support shutdowns, including spares identification

Maintain accurate records using CMMS systems

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 (Matric)

Trade Test (Instrumentation / Electrical / Instrument Mechanician)

Minimum 5 years’ experience in E&I within mining or heavy industry

Strong knowledge of filter systems and process control

Ability to read P&IDs and technical drawings

Solid troubleshooting skills (electrical and instrumentation)

Strong communication and customer engagement skills

Added Advantage

Experience with Metso PF Filters or similar OEM equipment

Exposure to automation and control systems in mineral processing
