QUALIFIED ELECTRICIANS – PORT ELIZABETH / GQEBERHA

Contract: Municipal Electrical Services Tender – 36 Months
Employment: Subject to tender award and final appointment
CM Contractors is preparing a tender submission for a Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality electrical meter disconnection, reconnection and still-off inspection contract.
We are looking to identify 3 qualified electricians who are based in or around Port Elizabeth / Gqeberha and are interested in being considered for the project should the tender be awarded to our company.
REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must have:
- Relevant electrical qualifications
- A valid Wireman's Licence
- Practical electrical field experience
- Experience with electrical installations, meter work, disconnections/reconnections, cable work or related electrical services
- Ability to work in urban and rural areas
- Valid driver's licence would be advantageous
- Good communication and professional conduct
- Ability to work as part of a field team
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR TENDER VERIFICATION
Shortlisted candidates will be required to provide copies of:
- Updated CV
- Relevant electrical qualifications/certificates
- Valid Wireman's Licence
- Any other relevant electrical competency certificates
- Identity document, where required for employment/onboarding
- Contactable references, where available

PROJECT INFORMATION
The successful bidder will be required to operate multiple field teams. The work may include:
- Electricity meter disconnections
- Meter reconnections
- Underground cable disconnections/reconnections
- Overhead cable work
- Still-off inspections
- Tampering-related inspections
- Field reporting and job documentation
The tender is for a 36-month municipal contract, however employment will only be finalised if C.M Contractors is awarded the contract and subject to the final employment arrangements.
Only applicants with the required qualifications and Wireman's Licence will be considered for the electrician positions.
C.M Contractors is committed to verifying all qualifications and appointing suitably qualified personnel.
Pay: R10 000,00 - R20 000,00 per month
