Electrical Technician

Role Overview

Perform electrical testing and fault finding with process design and testing documentation in accordance with internal and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

▪ Interpreting process related documentation

▪ Knowledge of assembled and pre-assembled production lines

▪ Assembling of electrical wires, lugs, terminals, etc

▪ “On the job” Quality Control

▪ Electrical manufacturing & assembly

▪ Electrical testing & fault finding

Desired Skills and Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

▪ Grade 12

▪ National Diploma – Electrical Engineering

▪ Previous experience with electronic assembly

▪ Electrical testing and fault finding

▪ Soldering experience

▪ Wiring experience

▪ Electronic hand tool experience

▪ General hand tool usage experience

Core Skills and Competencies

▪ Able to work with hands

▪ Good wiring skills

▪ Inspection of parts before integration

▪ Intermediate computer skills

▪ Quality Control on work done

▪ Setting up test jigs

▪ Software, Firmware & hardware knowledge

▪ Time management skills

▪ Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

▪ Pro-active, organised, able to multitask and work well under pressure.
