Job description
AAH Construction is seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician to perform electrical installations, maintenance, repairs and fault-finding across construction, refurbishment and building-maintenance projects.
The successful candidate must be technically competent, safety-conscious and able to complete electrical work in accordance with applicable regulations and project specifications.
Minimum Requirements
- Recognised Electrical Trade Test Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- Valid Wireman’s Licence
- Valid driver’s licence
- Relevant practical experience as an Electrician
- Experience in electrical installations, maintenance, repairs and fault-finding
- Knowledge of electrical safety regulations and compliance requirements
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a project team
- Ability to issue Certificates of Compliance
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain and repair electrical wiring, lighting, distribution boards, plugs and related systems
- Conduct electrical inspections, testing and fault-finding
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and project specifications
- Ensure all electrical work complies with applicable safety standards and regulations
- Complete testing, inspection and maintenance records
- Report defects, risks and material requirements to the Site Supervisor or Project Manager
- Maintain tools, equipment and a safe working environment
- Support construction, refurbishment and planned-maintenance projects as required
