Job description

Position: Electrician

Location: Port Elizabeth

Requirements:

Grade 12
Trade Tested Electrician
Minimum 3 years’ experience in electrical installations and maintenance
Experience working within hospitals, laboratories, healthcare facilities, or sterilization environments will be advantageous
Experience in commercial, industrial, and/or residential electrical projects
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
Understanding of electrical safety regulations
Valid driver’s license essential

Responsibilities:

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and healthcare environments
Install electrical wiring, conduit, cable trays, switchgear, distribution boards, lighting, and power systems
Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications
Perform cable termination and electrical equipment connections
Conduct planned and preventative maintenance
Diagnose and repair electrical faults efficiently
Replace defective electrical components and equipment
Respond to breakdowns and emergency call-outs when required
Assist with installation and electrical commissioning of sterilizers, autoclaves, and associated equipment
Troubleshoot electrical faults on sterilization systems
