Electrician - Epol

Purpose:

Epol is looking for a talented Electrician to ensure that plant maintenance is done effectively and accurately to ensure minimum downtime.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 or N5 - N6 qualification
• Trade test as an Electrician
• Wireman's license will be an added advantage
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years post Trade test experience in the FMCG environment

Main Responsibilities:

• Implements Operational asset productivity and care through the planned maintenance strategy.
• Fault finding on various electrical equipment
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines do not deteriorate.
• Attends to electrical breakdowns timeously which reduces production downtime.
• Determines if electrical faults are PLC related.
• Performs duties in line with HACCP and Safety Requirements.
• To perform various projects of an electrical nature to the correct specifications.
• Record maintenance and repair work performed.

Knowledge and Skill:

• Minimum of 3 - 5 years post Trade test experience in the FMCG environment
• Knowledge of conveyor belts, wire meshes modular belts, bearings, ability to use mechanical/electrical tools
• Knowledge and skill of operating production line
• Basic knowledge of fitting will serve as an advantage
• Knowledge of PLC’s, Sensors, VSD’s machines
• Knowledge of AC and DC machines
• Knowledge of boilers and air compressors
• Basic knowledge of different types of lubricants
• Ability to work in a team, have good problem-solving ability with high attention to detail
