SUMMARY: Our client, a well-established electrical and engineering company based in George, is seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician to join their growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, testing, fault finding, and repair of electrical systems across commercial, industrial, and residential projects, while ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations and industry standards.

POSITION INFO: Description: Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults and implement effective solutions. Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical plans. Install and connect distribution boards, switchgear, lighting, motors, control panels, and electrical equipment. Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on electrical systems. Conduct testing and commissioning of electrical installations. Ensure all work complies with SANS regulations and the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Complete job cards, maintenance reports, and relevant documentation accurately. Liaise professionally with clients, project managers, and colleagues. Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in good working condition. Identify potential risks and recommend improvements to electrical systems. Assist with project installations and commissioning as required. Be available to work overtime or attend emergency callouts when necessary Requirements: Grade 12 (Matric). Qualified Electrician with a recognised Trade Test (Red Seal). Valid Wireman's Licence (advantageous). 3-5 years' experience in electrical installations and maintenance. Experience in commercial, industrial, and\/or residential electrical projects. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics. Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills. Valid driver's licence PLC fault-finding and basic programming. Motor control centres (MCCs). Generator and UPS installations. Solar PV installation and maintenance. Instrumentation and control systems. Medium and low voltage installations.
