Job description
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Maintenance (Primary Focus)
Perform hands-on electrical maintenance on injection moulding machines, control panels, and plant equipment.
Conduct fault-finding, repairs, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
Ensure all electrical installations and machinery comply with legal requirements.
Maintain electrical safety systems, inspections, and statutory records.
Mechanical Maintenance (Secondary Focus)
Assist with mechanical maintenance and repairs on plant machinery as required.
Execute preventative maintenance schedules to minimise downtime.
Legal & Compliance
Act as the company's GMR 2.1 Appointed Person.
Ensure compliance with the OHS Act, Machinery Regulations, and electrical standards.
Maintain statutory registers, inspection records, and compliance documentation.
Operational Support
Support production teams to improve machine efficiency and reliability.
Assist with risk assessments, safety audits, and toolbox talks.
Provide hands-on technical guidance to maintenance staff and contractors.
Reporting Line
Report directly to the Team Leader and Manager
Education:
- Certificate (Required)
Experience:
- Electrician : 2 years (Required)
