Job description
Role Purpose:
RAINBOW is in search for an Electrician to join our Chicken Division. The role will be based in Worcester and report to the Plant Engineer. This incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that plant electrical maintenance is done effectively and accurately in such a way as to ensure minimum downtime.
Required Qualifications:
- Electrician Trade Test (Red Seal)
- Wireman’s license (compulsory)
- N3+
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years post Trade test experience.
- Minimum of 5 years production line or FMCG maintenance experience.
- Basic PLC experience Allan Bradley level 1 course or similar.
- Must be willing to work shifts, standby, weekends and overtime.
Required Knowledge:
- Knowledge of poultry processing equipment would be advantageous.
- Must have very good knowledge of PLC’s and extensive experience in fault finding.
- Knowledge of LT distribution network and C/B ‘s.
- Good knowledge of Allan Bradley and Lenze drives programming and fault finding.
Role Responsibilities:
- Attend to and maintain plant production equipment.
- Responsible for ensuring that preventative planned maintenance is performed in a cost effective way to ensure minimum downtime and product losses.
- Maintenance of electrical equipment -production lines, high speed packaging lines, injectors, and Marel equipment.
- Maintenance of electrical networks.
- Fault finding and repair of electrical equipment.
- Construction of new electrical equipment in plants.
- Handle breakdowns in an effective manner/work without supervision/work under stress.
- Accurate completion of DMS and administrative forms.
- Management of spares through purchasing requisitions if and when required.
- Demonstrate effective self-management in terms of planning and prioritizing of job cards and other tasks.
