Employee Relations Officer (Jnr)

Purpose

At Chamberlain, our people are our greatest asset. The purpose of this role is to support a positive workplace culture by ensuring employee relations matters are handled fairly, consistently and professionally.

The Junior Employee Relations Officer provides operational support across disciplinary administration, Employment Equity, grievances and legislative compliance while partnering with managers to promote good employment practices and uphold the Company's values.

Qualifications

Essential

• Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management, Labour Relations or Industrial Psychology.

Preferred

• Labour Law qualification.
• Employment Equity training.
• CCMA/Labour Relations courses.

Experience

Essential

• 2–4 years Employee Relations experience (also acceptable in HR capacity if hearings etc formed part of the function)
• Exposure to disciplinary procedures.
• Experience preparing hearing documentation.
• Knowledge of BCEA, LRA and EEA.
• Employment Equity reporting.

Advantageous

• Retail experience.
• Labour Inspection Preparation and facilitation.
• 300People experience.
• Employment Equity reporting.
• Experience chairing hearings.
