Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients according to established care plans.
• Monitor, record, and report patients' vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition.
• Administer medications and treatments within the legal scope of practice.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
• Observe infection prevention and control procedures.
• Assist Registered Nurses and other healthcare professionals during examinations and procedures.
• Educate patients and their families on basic health care and discharge instructions.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional and ethical standards.
• Participate in staff meetings, in-service training, and continuing professional development.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate as an Enrolled Nurse from an accredited nursing institution.
• Current registration with the relevant Nursing Council (e.g., the South African Nursing Council (SANC)).
• Valid annual practising licence, where applicable.

Working Conditions

• Work in hospitals, clinics, community health centres, nursing homes, or private healthcare facilities.
• May be required to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and night duty.
• Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and assisting patients with mobility
