ERP Service Manager

Organisational Context and Purpose of Role

As a leading operational business with facilities across the African continent we are seeking an experienced ERP Service Manager to provide technical leadership and service management. The role will oversee delivery and continuous improvement of IFS Cloud which covers:

• Operations & maintenance
• Project & construction
• Procurement
• Logistics
• Finance & controlling
• Consolidation & management reporting
• Human capital management
• Environment & social governance

Qualifications for this ERP Service Manager include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in ERP systems management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven expertise in IFS Cloud or comparable ERP solutions, including implementation, integration, and service management across multiple geographies.
• Demonstrated success in leading hybrid support models, vendor management and SLA-driven service delivery.
• Strong track record of managing ERP rollouts and change adoption
• Stakeholder engagement.
• Solid understanding of business processes in operations, maintenance, finance, procurement, and project management.
• Experience supporting statutory audits and compliance requirements through ERP systems.
• Professional certifications in ERP, IT service management (e.g., ITIL), or project management (e.g., PMP/Prince2) are advantageous.

Key Responsibilities (this list is not exhaustive)

• Own the delivery and governance of a hybrid, outsourced support model, ensuring SLA-driven, high quality service performance.
• Lead and be accountable of the ERP Service Centre’s day to day activities.
• Define the ERP Service Centre plan and procedures and ensure their implementation.
• Lead the implementation for all new locations and integration with live system.
• Manage the global change process.
• Engage with senior stakeholders in all countries.
• Support the identification, implementation and subsequent performance of any additional ERP tools.
• Manage the ERP Project & Operations communication.
• Report to management and the Steering Committee on the ERP KPIs.
• Support the annual statutory audit.
• Act as an advisor to senior stakeholders.
• Establish solid working relationships with key business stakeholders.
• Provide meaningful ideas and processes to improve the overall group performance.
• Manage day to day user support and ensure timely resolution of user issues by ERP Service Centre.
• Manage the business intelligence function within the ERP team.
• Management of ERP Service Centre staff and 3rd party providers’ roll out ERP solutions.
• Lead the IFS Steering Committee.
