Job Description
AECOM is actively seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer - Remediation to support remediation system operations, soil and groundwater investigations and remediation projects.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in remediation system management or oversight of operations, maintenance, and monitoring, and some system design. In addition, the candidate will have experience in data management and technical report production.
The position requires strong multi-discipline technical and interpersonal skills and the ability to work productively both independently and collaboratively with engineers and scientists on a variety of remediation projects. Strong verbal and written communication skills are critical for this role.
Here's what you will do:
- Evaluation of remediation data and treatment performance.
- Development of operation and maintenance plans.
- Analyze data and prepare and review engineering related reports, plans, calculations, drawings, figures, and specifications using accepted engineering practices and procedures.
- Modeling and analysis of subsurface conditions and remediation performance.
- Assist with remedial technology design.
- Assist with planning environmental field work, including pre-design investigations, remediation systems operations, maintenance, and monitoring, groundwater sampling, and fluid level gauging.
- Operations tasks include budgeting, schedule and scope development and tracking.
- Flexibility to work on a multitude of diverse projects and a positive attitude.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Science, or closely related field and 8+ years of relevant experience.
- 10+ years of experience in environmental consulting·
- Master’s Degree is a plus
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)·
- Experience with environmental data management systems (e.g., EQuIS, Locus EIM, ESdat, EDS, or equivalent platforms)·
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
