Job Purpose:
As the Environmental Health and Safety Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure compliance with regulations and promote a safe and healthy work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and mitigate health, safety, and environmental risks.
- Provide training and education to employees on health, safety, and environmental matters.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies, contractors, and other stakeholders on health, safety, and environmental issues.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to health, safety, and environmental performance.
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices in health, safety, and environmental management.
Desired Experience & Qualification:
- Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Professional certification in health and safety is advantageous.
- Previous experience in health, safety, and environmental management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
