Do you have a passion for wildlife conservation, environmental restoration and animal welfare?
Animal Defenders International (ADI) Wildlife Sanctuary is seeking a dedicated, hardworking and compassionate Environmental Management & Domestic Animal Caregiver to join our growing Wildlife & Environment Team.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of one of South Africa's leading wildlife sanctuaries, helping care for rescued domestic & farm animals while restoring natural habitats and contributing to meaningful conservation projects.

About the Role
Working under the guidance of the Director of Wildlife & Education and the Sanctuary Director, you will play an important role in the daily management of our sanctuary grounds, caregiving our domestic & farm animal residents, environmental restoration programmes and sanctuary development projects.
No two days are ever the same. This role combines practical conservation work, animal care, habitat restoration and estate maintenance within a professional wildlife sanctuary environment.
Essential Requirements
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a genuine passion for animal welfare and conservation
- Is physically fit and enjoys outdoor work
- Has excellent work ethic and attention to detail
- Can work independently and as part of a team
- Is reliable, responsible and honest
- Is willing to work flexible hours when emergencies arise
- Has good communication skills
- Must holds a valid South African driver's licence
- Tractor driving experience (advantageous)
- Experience with domestic animals, farming, wildlife or conservation is advantageous but not essential.
