Erecting Machine Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled servicing and preventive maintenance on erecting machines
• Attend to breakdowns and urgent repairs in the field
• Conduct mechanical and electrical fault finding
• Relocate machines between pack houses according to seasonal requirements
• Manage size changes and machine adjustments for different carton specifications
• Work closely with pack house staff to ensure machines are always production-ready
• Collaborate with machine operators to maintain cleanliness and uphold preventative maintenance standards
• Provide professional, solution-orientated customer service at all times
• This position follows the seasonal schedules of pack house operations, which may result in variable working hours. The successful candidate must be willing and able to work overtime, as well as weekends and public holidays, in line with operational requirements.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must have your own toolbox

Qualifications

• Matric certificate
• Trade test certificate essential – Millwright qualification preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
• Proven experience in a field service or maintenance role
