IVANHOE MINES is looking for a ERP Developer.

Ivanhoe is focused on developing and expanding its four principal mining and exploration projects in Southern Africa. The development of the Kamoa-Kakula copper mining complex in the Democratic Republic of Congo(DRC), the Platreef palladium-rhodium-platinum-nickel-copper-gold discovery in South Africa, the extensive redevelopment and upgrading of the historic Kipushi zinc-copper-germanium-silver mine, also in the Democratic Republic of Congo and exploration on the Western Foreland, near Kamoa-Kakula.

This is the primary ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) developer role for JD Edwards and its auxiliary systems. It requires the analysis and running of the technical aspects in the environment, running and developing JD Edwards orchestrations, application upgrades and assistance to JD Edwards specialists.

Mandatory Qualifications and experience:

• High school certificate or Matric
• Tertiary qualification (degree or equivalent)
• JDE certification/ and or training
• +3 years of experience
• +2 years of experience in an Industrial company or mining related environment

Minimum skills required:

• Strong ERP and JD Edwards development, functional and supporting skills
• Possess a strong drive for service excellence
• Able to identify, troubleshoot and solve ERP development problems
• Flexible but methodical and thorough approach for reconciliations and balancing
• Good organizational and analytical skills, process oriented
• Detailed programming understanding of the ERP product suite and immediate environment
• Good understanding of end-to-end processes in the ERP environment, including equipment, work orders, parts, routines and connected devices
• To maintain the development module and advise IT and ERP supporting company on their required actions
• Able to manage sensitive and sometimes confidential information
• Good knowledge of JDE modules

Technical Skills should include:

• Equipment maintenance methodologies & work order execution for effective maintenance in industrial operations through ERP systems
• Knowledge of industrial requirements
• Knowledge of reporting tools, JD Edwards Orchestrator and IoT applications will be advantageous

Your Key Performance Activities will include but not limited to:

• Analyse, confirm and document business requirements for ERP development work.
• Run the ERP development cycle
• Lead projects and support to provide development of objects and systems.
• Work with ERP specialists and the support partner to develop the most effective solutions
• Manage the OMW workbench and related systems development modules
• Understand and run ERP plug-in software such as barcoding solutions, integration scripts, advanced tax authority functionality and technical aspects that are required for the environment to run effectively
• Accompany ERP specialists on operational visits occasionally
• Monitor system performance and assist IT in troubleshooting technical aspects of the program
• Follow external application development work to identify opportunities.
• Actively monitor the support service progress in Smartsheet related to development work
• Provide monthly reporting and support statistics when required
• Participate in ERP team events, meetings and workshops
• Communicate and document technical system requirements to ERP specialists
• Utilize company systems and resources
• Be available for the monthly after hours system work and on an ad hoc basis for high-priority projects

Ability to do occasional travelling.
