We’re Hiring: ERP Technical Administrator
Keep the systems that power our merchants stable, secure and running at peak performance.
Location: Johannesburg or Cape Town
Business Unit: Technology
Reports to: Head of ERP & Billing
Why This Role Matters
Every invoice generated, commission calculated and financial transaction processed depends on a stable and secure ERP environment. As ERP Technical Administrator, you will ensure our ERP platforms remain available, optimised and resilient while supporting the financial systems that keep the Merchant Division running.
You will manage the technical operation of our ERP environments across development, testing and production, ensuring secure configurations, reliable integrations and seamless platform performance. From system administration and patch management to environment support and technical governance, you will provide the technical foundation that enables Finance, Sales and Operations to perform with confidence.

The Role
You will manage the technical administration and operational stability of Lesaka's ERP platforms, ensuring secure, reliable and high-performing environments across production and non-production landscapes.
Working closely with Finance, Sales, Operations, Architecture and the ERP team, you will maintain platform availability, support billing operations, manage environments and contribute to continuous technical improvement.
The role contributes directly to Customer Experience through reliable business systems, Cost Discipline through platform optimisation and automation, and Risk Control through secure system administration, governance and compliance.
What You'll Own

️ ERP Platform Stability & Reliability

Monitor ERP platform performance, availability and health.

Perform system maintenance, patching and version upgrades.

Manage system configurations and performance tuning.

Resolve technical incidents and minimise platform downtime.

Ensure highly available and stable ERP environments.
Billing Platform Technical Support
- Support the technical execution of billing runs.
- Maintain system configurations supporting billing processes.
- Troubleshoot system-related billing failures and defects.
- Validate billing integrations across ERP and connected platforms.
- Support technical reconciliation and billing accuracy.
ERP Roadmap & Continuous Improvement
- Support ERP upgrades, enhancements and new releases.
- Automate repetitive administration and operational activities.
- Improve platform performance through tuning and optimisation.
- Support data migration and system change initiatives.
- Evaluate emerging ERP capabilities and technical improvements.
️ ERP Governance, Compliance & Risk
- Manage ERP user access and security administration.
- Support compliance with SOX ITGC controls.
- Maintain audit logs, documentation and system records.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Identify and mitigate technical platform risks.
Environment & Integration Support
- Manage Development, UAT and Production ERP environments.
- Support integration between ERP, CRM, Core Platform and Billing systems.
- Maintain environment consistency across deployments.
- Support CI/CD deployment activities.
- Troubleshoot integration and deployment issues.

- Strong ERP platform administration and technical support experience.
- Experience with ERP platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, SAP, NetSuite or equivalent.
- Knowledge of database administration, system configuration and performance tuning.
- Experience managing production, UAT and development environments.
- Working knowledge of patch management, release management and deployment processes.
- Understanding of ERP security, access administration and disaster recovery.

Experience & Qualifications
Experience
- Four to six years' experience in ERP technical administration, systems engineering or enterprise application support.
- Experience supporting ERP platforms including SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, NetSuite or equivalent.
- Experience managing Development, UAT and Production environments.
- Strong understanding of patch management, release management and system administration.
- Experience supporting ERP integrations and technical deployments.
Qualifications & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Systems, Software or Network), Information Systems, Computer Science or an equivalent discipline.
- ERP platform certification (Microsoft, Sage, SAP, NetSuite or equivalent) would be advantageous.
- ITIL Foundation certification would be advantageous.
