Our client, a growing business in the liquor industry, is looking for a confident and enthusiastic Part-time Events Host to join their team on Saturdays.

As the face of their tasting events, you'll welcome guests, guide gin tastings, share the story behind their award-winning spirits, and help ensure every visitor leaves with a fantastic impression of our brand. Full training is provided.

The distillery creates a boutique range of authentically crafted gins, whiskeys, rums and liqueurs in genuinely small batches. As a small business, they value people who are proactive, adaptable, and willing to roll up their sleeves to contribute wherever needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Host and facilitate gin tasting experiences for visitors.
- Deliver up to three tasting sessions each Saturday (approximately 2 hours per session).
- Welcome guests and create a warm, engaging, and professional atmosphere.
- Confidently present information about the distillery, products, and the tasting process.
- Answer customer questions accurately and professionally.
- Maintain high standards of customer service throughout all events.
- Manage group interactions and keep sessions running smoothly and on schedule.
- Proactively assist with event setup, pack down, and general event operations.
- Handle customer concerns or conflicts calmly and professionally when required.
- Work closely with the wider team to ensure a seamless visitor experience.
Skills and Experience
Essential
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Confident speaking to groups and projecting your voice clearly.
- Strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable manner.
- Ability to think on your feet and adapt to different situations.
- Comfortable answering customer questions and engaging with diverse audiences.
- Proactive, hands-on attitude with a willingness to help wherever needed.
- Reliable and available to work every Saturday from 11:00am to 6:00pm
Desirable
- Previous experience in events, hospitality, tourism, retail, or customer service.
- Experience presenting to groups or hosting guided experiences.
- Knowledge of gin, spirits, or the beverage industry (not essential – training will be provided).
