Position: Events Manager

BRX is looking for an experienced, driven and commercially minded Events Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys managing complex events from concept to execution, and has a strong sales and business development focus.

The Role

The Events Manager will be responsible for delivering exceptional B2B and B2C events, while actively identifying and converting new business opportunities. The successful candidate will manage projects end-to-end, from initial client engagement and proposal development through to budgeting, planning, supplier management and on-site execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle of events, from brief and concept through to delivery and close-out.
• Deliver a range of B2B and B2C events, including conferences, exhibitions, activations and large-scale events.
• Manage large-scale exhibition and audio-visual requirements, ensuring seamless technical delivery.
• Lead the supply-side of projects, including planning, budgeting, procurement, logistics and on-site execution.
• Manage internal teams, freelancers, suppliers, contractors, venues and other stakeholders.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers and industry partners.
• Develop proposals, presentations, quotations and event concepts that meet client objectives.
• Identify and pursue new sales opportunities, generate leads and convert enquiries into confirmed business.
• Develop existing client relationships and identify opportunities for upselling and repeat business.
• Attend client meetings, site visits, industry events and networking opportunities.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standard.
• Manage budgets, margins and project profitability.
• Remain calm, organised and solutions-focused in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.

Requirements

• Proven experience in event management and event production.
• Experience delivering end-to-end B2B and B2C events.
• Strong understanding of conferencing, exhibitions and audio-visual production.
• Proven experience managing multiple stakeholders, suppliers and teams.
• Strong commercial awareness with a proven interest or track record in sales and business development.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and client relationship skills.
• Strong budgeting and project management abilities.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Highly organised, proactive and solutions-driven.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when required.
• A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel when required.
