Job description

CHEF TRAINER (HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY)

We are looking to employ an experienced Chef Trainer to join our dynamic team based for our Centurion Offices.

Responsibilities:

Teach participants the basics of food and kitchen safety, food preparation, and making healthy choices and substitutions when cooking;
Choose recipes that demonstrate key nutrition, food budgeting, and food preparation lessons;
Assign participants kitchen tasks that allow each individual to gain hands-on practice and improve their cooking skills;
Supervise participants in the kitchen, encouraging proper technique and gently correcting as needed.

Skills/Experience Required:

Matric and NQF Level 6;
Chef/Culinary Qualification is required;
Education and Training Assessor Qualification
3 to 5 years training junior chefs and staff essential;
Interest and comfort in working with individuals from diverse backgrounds;
Valid drivers license and own reliable transport essential;
Ability to be flexible with regards to shifts and weekend work.

Position: Full-Time
