Job Advert Summary

The Experience Specialist: Advice & Distribution is responsible for enabling growth, insight-led decision making and disciplined business execution across the Advice & Distribution environment. The role delivers market and competitor intelligence, supports growth and partnership initiatives, tracks A&D business performance, manages the business corporate calendar, and produces experience development insights and reporting that help improve adviser, member and partner outcomes.

Minimum Requirements

Education:

  • Postgraduate qualification or degree in Business, Legal Studies, Commerce, Financial Planning,

Market Research, Data Analytics, Strategic Management, Project Management, Design Thinking,

certification in Business Analysis diploma

Experience:

  • 3–5 years’ experience in business enablement, strategy support, Data Analytics, Communications,

market research, business development, partnerships, Financial Planning client/adviser experience,

performance reporting or operations within a service-led environment.

  • Industry exposure: Financial services, insurance, investments, professional services or distribution-led

business experience preferred

  • Experience with CRM platforms, dashboards, survey tools, business intelligence tools and collaborative

planning platforms advantageous

Knowledge and Skills

  • Market research, competitor analysis and external environment scanning.
  • Business development support, opportunity assessment and partnership coordination.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office capability, PowerPoint and Excel; AI Tools

influence growth and business outcomes.

  • Analytical thinking: Uses data, research and evidence to identify trends, risks, opportunities and

practical recommendations.

oversight of deadlines and deliverables.

  • Strategic orientation: Connects day-to-day reporting and insights to broader A&D priorities and

growth objectives.

  • Collaboration: Works effectively across teams and functions to gather inputs, align stakeholders and

progress initiatives.

  • Communication: Converts complex information into clear, concise and decision-ready reports,

presentations and briefings.

  • Curiosity and learning agility: Actively scans the market, asks relevant questions and translates new

information into useful insight.

  • Client and adviser centricity: Keeps member, client, adviser and partner outcomes central to

recommendations and experience improvements.### Duties and Responsibilities

1. Market and Competitor Insights

  • Conduct ongoing market scanning to identify industry trends, competitor moves, emerging

opportunities, distribution shifts and client/adviser expectations relevant to Advice & Distribution.

  • Develop concise competitor and market insight packs that summarise implications, opportunities, risks

and recommended actions for leadership consideration.

  • Monitor competitor propositions, pricing signals, service models, adviser engagement approaches,

digital capabilities and partnership activities.

  • Translate research into practical insights that inform growth priorities, channel strategy, adviser

experience, client experience and value proposition enhancements.

  • Maintain a structured repository of market intelligence, competitor profiles and insight themes to

support decision-making and strategic planning. 2. Growth and Partnerships

  • Support the identification, assessment and prioritisation of growth opportunities across channels,

segments, partnerships and strategic initiatives.

  • Coordinate inputs for partnership opportunities, including opportunity summaries, stakeholder

mapping, value proposition considerations and implementation requirements.

  • Track growth initiatives from concept to execution, maintaining visibility of owners, milestones,

dependencies, risks and expected business outcomes.

  • Prepare briefing notes, business cases, presentations and status updates that enable informed

decision-making on growth and partnership opportunities.

  • Work with internal stakeholders to ensure partnership initiatives are aligned to commercial objectives,

client/adviser value, operational feasibility and governance requirements.

3. A&D Business Performance Tracking

  • Maintain regular A&D performance dashboards and scorecards across agreed commercial,

operational, adviser, client and experience measures.

  • Track performance trends, variances, risks and opportunities, highlighting areas that require

management attention or intervention.

  • Coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual performance reporting inputs from relevant teams and

ensure information is accurate, timely and decision useful.

  • Analyse performance against targets, strategic priorities, key initiatives and agreed scorecard

measures.

  • Prepare concise management insights that explain what has changed, why it matters and what

action is required.

4. Business Corporate Calendar

  • Own and maintain the A&D business corporate calendar, ensuring key governance forums, reporting

cycles, campaign milestones, stakeholder engagements and strategic deliverables are planned and

visible.

  • Coordinate calendar inputs across leadership, business units and supporting functions to ensure

alignment of priorities, deadlines and dependencies.

  • Track upcoming deliverables, decision points, submissions, committee dates and leadership

engagements to support disciplined execution.

  • Prepare calendar-based reminders, planning notes and status updates to support proactive

management of business rhythms.

  • Identify schedule conflicts, capacity constraints and sequencing risks that may affect delivery of A&D

priorities.

5. Experience Development and Reporting

  • Develop and maintain experience reporting that reflects adviser, client, partner and stakeholder

feedback, service themes, journey friction points and improvement opportunities.

  • Support experience development initiatives by consolidating insights, defining problem statements,

tracking action plans and measuring progress against agreed outcomes.

  • Prepare regular experience reports, dashboards and presentations for leadership forums and

operational teams.

  • Use qualitative and quantitative feedback to identify themes that affect growth, retention, conduct,

service quality and ease of doing business.

  • Track the impact of experience improvement actions and escalate barriers, risks or recurring issues

requiring leadership attention.

6. Governance, Risk and Delivery Discipline

  • Ensure reports, insights, calendar outputs and partnership materials are accurate, well governed,

version controlled and supported by appropriate evidence.

  • Maintain action logs, issue trackers and delivery updates for key A&D initiatives and leadership

commitments.

  • Escalate risks, dependencies, missed deadlines and data-quality concerns through appropriate

management channels.

  • Promote disciplined ways of working by ensuring that decisions, actions, owners and due dates are

clearly recorded and followed up.
