Experienced Hotel Housekeeper – Casual / Relief Staff
Xquisite Staffing Solutions, a division of The Xquisite Group (Pty) Ltd, is building a select pool of experienced hotel and guesthouse housekeeping professionals for casual, relief and short-term assignments in Somerset West and the surrounding Helderberg area.
IMPORTANT: Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel, lodge, resort or guesthouse is an essential requirement. Applicants with domestic household cleaning experience only will not be considered.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Cleaning and servicing guest bedrooms and bathrooms to hospitality standards
- Making beds and presenting guest rooms according to hotel or guesthouse standards
- Replenishing guest amenities, linen and room supplies
- Cleaning public and back-of-house areas when required
- Reporting maintenance issues, lost property and room discrepancies
- Following property-specific cleaning procedures, hygiene standards and checklists
- Working efficiently within required room turnaround times
Minimum requirements:
- Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel, lodge, resort or guesthouse is mandatory
- A good understanding of professional room-cleaning procedures and hospitality standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a housekeeping team
- Reliable, punctual and able to accept casual or short-notice assignments
- Professional appearance and good personal hygiene
- Good communication skills and a positive, guest-focused attitude
- Contactable references from previous hospitality employers
- Reliable transport or the ability to travel to assignments in Somerset West and the surrounding Helderberg area
Please note: This is for casual, relief and temporary hospitality assignments. Work will be offered according to client requirements and candidate availability, and regular hours are not guaranteed.
