Job description
Executive Transmissions is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Workshop Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on position requiring extensive technical expertise as well as the ability to oversee daily workshop operations and client communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on various makes and models of light commercial vehicles.
- Repair and service automatic and manual gearboxes.
- Diagnose and repair mechatronic units and control plates.
- Repair and maintain differentials, transfer cases, and complete drivetrain systems.
- Manage workshop workflow to ensure repairs are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Communicate professionally with clients regarding vehicle assessments, repairs, and progress updates.
- Handle telephone enquiries and provide technical feedback to customers.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, productivity, and customer service.
- Ensure jobs are completed accurately, efficiently, and within agreed timelines.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 7 years' experience working on light commercial vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Automatic and manual transmissions
- Mechatronic systems and control plates
- Differentials and transfer cases
- Drivetrain diagnosis and repairs
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage workshop activities effectively.
- Valid driver's licence preferred.
Remuneration
Salary will be discussed during the interview process and will be based on experience and qualifications.
