Job description
PMPS designs and builds chemical dosing systems, process skids and control panels for water treatment, mining and industry. We’re looking for an experienced plastic pipe fitter to build skid pipework in our Boksburg workshop and run process piping on customer sites.
What you’ll do
- Fabricate skid pipework in PVC-U and ABS from drawings: solvent-weld joints, flanges, unions, valves and fittings
- Install plastic process and dosing lines on site, including routing, supports, brackets and connections to tanks, pumps and equipment
- Pressure test and leak test pipework, and record the results
- Mark up drawings with as-built changes
- Drive to site and to suppliers with materials and tools
- Keep tools, materials and the work area in good order
What we’re looking for
- At least 2 years’ hands-on plastic pipe fitting (PVC/ABS)
- A valid driver’s licence (required)
- Ability to read piping drawings and work neatly and accurately
- Reliable commute to Boksburg
- Butt or socket fusion on PE/PP pipe is a plus, but not essential
