Experienced Sales Manager For Next Flight Out Courier

About the Role

NextFlightCourier is looking for a Sales Manager with courier and air freight experience to drive growth and win new business across South Africa. NextFlightCourier is starting its operations in South Africa, and this is a key role in establishing the customer base, building commercial relationships, and setting sales momentum from the ground up.

This role is mostly home-office, with regular customer visits required to build relationships, present solutions, and secure ongoing contracts.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive sales performance to achieve monthly/quarterly targets across courier and air freight
• Prospect for new customers and convert leads into signed business
• Manage and grow existing customer accounts, ensuring retention and volume growth
• Build and maintain an accurate sales pipeline (leads, follow-ups, quotations, forecasting)
• Prepare quotations, proposals, and commercial recommendations aligned with company guidelines
• Conduct scheduled customer visits across South Africa (mix of in-person meetings and check-ins)
• Collaborate with operations to ensure customer requirements and service expectations are met
• Track sales activity and report performance updates to management

Requirements

• Courier experience is a must
• Air freight experience is a must
• Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets in courier/logistics
• Strong customer relationship and negotiation skills
• Willingness to travel for scheduled customer visits across South Africa
• Strong admin capability (CRM/lead tracking, reporting, and follow-ups)
• Excellent communication and professional client-facing skills
