Experienced Security Contract Manager (Salary is market related)

Magma Executive Protection is urgently seeking to appoint and a suitably qualified and experienced Security Contract Manager to take overall responsibility for the management of a major security contract across three operational regions in KwaZulu-Natal.

The successful candidate will provide overall strategic and operational leadership to the contract and will be directly responsible for managing and coordinating three Operations Managers, each responsible for their respective region.

The position requires strong, professional and hands-on manager with excellent communication and client liaison skills, who is able to maintain consistently high standards of service delivery, ensure client satisfaction, and enforce strict occupational health and safety compliance.

The contract will commence on 1 October 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assume overall accountability for the successful management and performance of the security contract across all three KwaZulu-Natal regions
• Directly manage, guide, support and hold accountable the three regional Operations Managers
• Ensure consistent operational standards, procedures and service delivery across all three regions
• Maintain effective communication between the regional Operations Managers, Magma senior management and the client
• Develop and maintain a strong professional relationship with the client and ensure a consistently high level of client satisfactio
• Attend client operational, performance and management meetings and ensure agreed actions are implemented timeously
• Monitor regional performance against contractual SLAs, KPIs and operational requirements
• Ensure that all sites are adequately staffed and that contractual manpower requirements are maintained
• Oversee duty rosters, absenteeism, leave, overtime and operational deployment through the respective Operations Managers
• Conduct regular regional and site inspections and operational assessments.- Oversee the management of incidents, investigations, disciplinary matters and operational escalations
• Ensure full compliance with PSIRA requirements, applicable labour legislation, occupational health and safety requirements, company policies and all client-specific safety procedures
• Ensure occupational health and safety requirements are implemented, monitored and enforced throughout the contract
• Ensure that identified health and safety risks, unsafe practices and non-compliance are addressed immediately and that appropriate corrective action is implemented
• Promote and maintain a strong culture of safety, accountability and compliance throughout the operational structure
• Monitor the performance, discipline and professional conduct of management and operational personnel
• Ensure that operational reports, incident reports and management information are accurate, professional and submitted timeously
• Oversee the management of company vehicles, uniforms, equipment and other resources allocated to the contract
• Identify operational risks and ensure appropriate corrective and preventative measures are implemented
• Maintain effective cost control across the contract without compromising service delivery, safety or contractual compliance
• Provide regular consolidated management reports to Magma senior management and the client.

Minimum Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Senior Contract Manager, Security Contract Manager, Operations Manager or similar senior operational position within the private security industry
• Demonstrable experience managing a large security contract involving multiple regions, sites and management teams
• Proven ability to manage and coordinate subordinate operational managers
• Valid PSIRA Grade A registration
• Sound knowledge of the private security industry, PSIRA requirements and applicable labour legislation
• Sound knowledge and practical understanding of occupational health and safety requirements and compliance within an operational environment
• Strong leadership and personnel-management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent client liaison, interpersonal and stakeholder-management skills
• Strong customer-service orientation with a proven ability to maintain professional relationships and ensure client satisfaction
• Experience in disciplinary procedures, incident management, investigations and operational risk management
• Strong administrative, analytical and report-writing ability
• Computer literate, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Valid driver's licence.- Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout KwaZulu-Natal
• Ability to work under pressure and respond to operational requirements outside normal office hours.
• Experience within forestry, mining, industrial, agricultural or other geographically dispersed high-risk operations will be advantageous.

• Can identify operational weaknesses and risks early and implement practical corrective solutions
• Is comfortable managing geographically dispersed operations
• Maintains high standards of integrity, discipline, professionalism and accountability

Employment Terms:

• Probation Period: Three months
• Contract Duration: Five years, renewable subject to contractual requirements and satisfactory performance
• Employment: Full-time
• Due to the commencement date and operational requirements, preference will be given to suitably experienced candidates who are available to assume the position on 1 October 2026 and participate in the required mobilisation and handover processes beforehand
