Experienced Waiter / Barista – Simon’s Town
Baker & Bean is a small, friendly café in Simon’s Town, known for warm, attentive customer service and the welcoming atmosphere created by our team.
We are looking for an experienced Waiter/Barista to join us for the upcoming summer season. This is a dual role, and applicants must meet both of the following requirements:
- At least two years’ practical waitering experience
- At least two years’ practical barista experience, with the ability to prepare a full range of espresso-based coffees confidently and consistently
The successful applicant must also have:
- Strong spoken and written communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently with customers
- A genuinely friendly, warm and approachable personality
- A real enthusiasm for hospitality and providing excellent customer service
- A proactive attitude and the willingness to assist wherever needed within a small café team
- The ability to work efficiently and remain professional during busy periods
- A reliable and responsible approach to attendance and timekeeping
Due to the operational requirements of the position, applicants must be able to travel reliably to Simon’s Town for all scheduled shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
This is initially a seasonal position, with the potential to develop into a permanent, full-time role based on performance and the ongoing requirements of the business.
