Job description
Participate in training sessions and actively seek answers to queries on a daily and as-needed basis.
Comply with operational processes by keeping knowledge up to date, applying correct procedures, and addressing concerns as they arise.
Propose process improvements by identifying gaps, presenting suggestions to the line manager, and providing relevant supporting information.
In depth understanding and working with Daveytronic electronic initiation system, able to program and do fault finding, provide feedback and training and prepare report as required.
Able to operate and generate reports when using technical equipment for block auditing purposes, such as seismographs, fragmentation analysis, borehole calipering, borehole tracker, VOD machine, face profiler, etc.
Product application of other explosives and accessories during charging process.
Other responsibilities include:
Load and unload the MMU safely and accurately by securing the loading area, verifying material specifications, and inspecting the unit for proper functionality.
Use appropriate tools and equipment, monitoring material quantities, and following established procedures.
Assist with stock control by using the inventory system to label, categorise, and track stock levels; support receiving stock, entering it into the system, ensuring correct storage, performing stock checks, and reporting any discrepancies to the Site Supervisor.
Take responsibility for the MMU through regular cleaning and inspection, conducting and reporting basic repairs and maintenance, checking fluid levels, cleaning filters, verifying safety features and electrical systems, calibrating measurement devices, and carrying out monthly or as-needed alignment checks.
Maintain the work area and site by cleaning and decontaminating raw material spills, ensuring proper waste disposal, identifying potential hazards or abnormal conditions, and promptly reporting them to the relevant supervisor.
Implement SHE practices by understanding required actions, executing them effectively, and reviewing outcomes within deadlines or as specified by procedures.
Comply with SHE standards and processes by maintaining up-to-date knowledge and consistently adhering to all SHE requirements
Maintain effective stakeholder relationships by liaising with internal and external stakeholders, exchanging feedback, and collaborating as needed.
Manage relationships with service providers by tracking required service levels, monitoring performance against standards, identifying concerns, and applying corrective actions monthly and as needed.
Contribute to team success by participating in team activities, identifying support needs, helping and actively engaging with team members daily.
Pursue self-development by identifying growth areas, seeking capacity-building opportunities, obtaining approval, and completing development activities successfully.
Contribute to the broader organization by participating in company events, supporting corporate initiatives, and embodying Enaex values in daily work
Matric/Grade 12 or Equivalent
Blasters Assistant Certificate
Valid Driver's license
2+ years? experience in mining or similar environment
