External Sales Representative

IPS Packaging is a manufacturer of corrugated cartons and a distributor of quality industrial packaging materials. We are looking for a motivated, professional and customer focused individual to join our team as an External Sales Representative.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys meeting new people, building long-term customer relationships and is eager to develop a successful career in sales. While previous sales experience is advantageous, we believe that the right attitude, willingness to learn and strong work ethic are just as important.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate new business opportunities and develop new customer relationships.
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers.
• Visit customers and prospective clients on a regular basis.
• Promote the company's range of corrugated cartons and industrial packaging products.
• Prepare quotations and follow up on customer enquiries.
• Identify customer requirements and recommend suitable packaging solutions.
• Work closely with the Internal Sales and Operations teams to ensure excellent customer service.
• Maintain regular communication with customers and provide after-sales support.
• Represent IPS Packaging professionally at all times.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be self-motivated, enthusiastic and customer-focused.
• Be willing to learn and grow within the company.
• Be organised and able to manage their own schedule effectively.
• Be professional in both appearance and communication.
• Have a valid South African driver's licence.
• Own a reliable, roadworthy vehicle that is currently licensed and registered for use on South African roads.
• Be willing to travel regularly to visit customers.
• A travel allowance will be provided for business-related travel.

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
