External Sales Representative – Promotions & New Business Development

H2O Somerset West is looking for energetic, confident and highly motivated individuals to join our team as External Sales Representatives.

This is a field-based role focused on promoting the H2O brand, generating leads, identifying sales opportunities and bringing new potential customers into the business.

We are looking for go-getters who enjoy being out in the field, meeting new people, approaching potential customers and finding opportunities to promote our products and services.

You will be actively out in the market developing new business, creating your own leads and looking for opportunities to promote H2O wherever possible. This may also include participating in events, promotions, activations and other marketing opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Actively identify and approach potential new customers
• Visit businesses and prospective clients in the field
• Introduce and promote H2O Somerset West's products and services
• Generate quality leads through face-to-face prospecting
• Identify new sales and promotional opportunities
• Attend and participate in events, activations and promotional opportunities when required
• Actively look for opportunities to promote the H2O brand
• Engage with potential residential and commercial customers
• Gather accurate contact details and information from prospective customers
• Follow up on leads and opportunities where required
• Build and manage your own pipeline of potential customers
• Work closely with the internal sales team to turn qualified leads into sales
• Represent H2O Somerset West professionally in the market

Previous experience in external sales, promotions, field sales, brand activation or business development would be advantageous; however, attitude, confidence, energy, team spirit and drive are equally important to us.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• Reliable own transport
• Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage your own time
• Comfortable travelling throughout the greater Cape Town area
• Willingness to participate in events and promotional activities when required

Remuneration

Please note that this is a commission-only position with no basic salary.

Your earning potential is directly linked to your performance and the new business you help generate.

The role will have clear performance expectations relating to lead generation, lead quality and successful lead-to-sale conversions.

This position is ideal for someone who is self-motivated, enjoys being out in the market and wants the opportunity to earn based on the results they produce.
